Spaghetti With Mussels & Cherry Tomatoes


A taste of the Sea at the table, our irresistible spaghetti with mussels and cherry tomatoes. This dish is famous all over Italy and very simple and quick to make and packed with flavours of the sea.


  • 400g/16oz Spaghetti
  • 500g/1 1/8lb of mussels, cleaned
  • 4 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 250g/1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 tsp peperoncino chilli flakes
  • 1 handful of parsley, roughly chopped
  • Salt & pepper


Cook the pasta in a pan of salted water until al-dente. Meanwhile, steam the mussels open in a large lidded saucepan. Once the shells have opened, set aside, remove mussels from the shell. Reserving the mussel cooking juices.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan, then fry the tomatoes until soft, add the garlic and chilli flakes until the garlic is golden. Add the reserved mussel liquid, then simmer until you have a thin sauce.
Drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan, along with the mussels. Stir until everything is combined, then stir in the parsley, season with salt pepper.
