Italian Waffles

Light and crispy waffles served with Nutella and strawberries, what more could you want?

Ingredients

  • 250g/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp mascarpone 
  • 100ml/1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 200ml/1 1/2 cups 
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Nutella
  • Strawberries
  • Spray cream

Method

In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the milk, condensed milk, mascarpone, butter and vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; beat until blended.

Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Top with Nutella and strawberries and cream to finish. Serve immediately.
