Italian Garlic Dough Balls

Italian Garlic Dough Balls

Serve a platter of warm dough balls with our special garlic dressing. These garlic dough balls are perfect for sharing with all the family.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (see Margherita Pizza/Stromboli recipe)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Handful fresh parsley
  • 125ml/1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese

Method

Oil a baking tray. Take a small piece of dough (about the size of a walnut) and roll into a ball. Place the ball on the baking tray and repeat with the remaining dough, spacing the dough balls about ½ cm apart. Cover and leave to rise for 30 mins. Meanwhile, to make the garlic dressing, blitz together in a blender the garlic, parsley and extra virgin olive oil.

Heat oven to 180C/350F. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Put the dough balls in a large bowl and pour the garlic dressing on top and toss together.  Finish with a generous sprinkling of parmesan cheese.
