The Ultimate Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Crispy on the outside with a gooey cheesy centre, topped with truffles and parmesan what more could you want!
- Two thick slices of sourdough bread or any crusty Italian bread
- Truffle slices
- Gorgonzola Piccante
- Scamorza affumicata
- Povolone dolce
- Parmesan cheese
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat, add slice of bread, butter side down to pan and top with cheese, layer by layer. Start with mozzarella, then scamorza, then, provolone, then gorgonzola, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and top with truffle slices. Add the second slice of bread on top butter side up. Fry for 3-4 minutes each side until golden brown. Serve with extra parmesan cheese on top.
