Festive fun for all the family this year, these snowy truffles are great fun to make and very quick and easy!
- 300g/1 1/4 cup double/heavy cream
- 300g/1 cup Nutella
- 100g/3.5 oz dark chocolate
- 50g/1 1/4 cup butter
- Crushed hazelnuts
- 300g/2 cups desiccated coconut
Put the cream and butter into a saucepan and heat gently until the butter melts and the cream reaches simmering point. Add the Nutella and dark chocolate to a large bowl. Pour over the boiling cream, then stir until the chocolate and cream are well blended and smooth. Add the hazelnuts and mix well. Cool, then set aside in the fridge until the mixture is solid, about 4 hrs.
Scoop out teaspoons of the mixture and roll into small walnut-size balls with your hands. Sprinkle the coconut into a bowl and roll the truffles in the coconut until evenly covered, then chill on greaseproof paper and eat immediately!
