Piccolino, Alderley Edge, Cheshire

Located on London Road, Alderley Edge, Cheshire is Piccolino the Italian restaurant and bar which serves, lunch and dinner until late. With an exciting breakfast and brunch menu, coming soon! Seating 250 guests the restaurant brings a new meaning to ‘all day everyday, dining’ boasting; a 20 metre eat at open kitchen, wine boutique, island cocktail bar, private event space, an all year outside terrace with fully retractable roof and much, much more.

We visited the new Piccolino in Alderley Edge on the launch night and visited last week for a meal. Walking into Piccolino, you get a real feel of authenticity with the interior, decor and staff. Decorated beautifully and stylish, it is a real eye catcher.

For starters, we ordered Ravioli Zucca small portion – roast butternut squash, amaretti biscuits, hazelnuts and sage butter. Along with the Calamari, which is fried with a roast garlic mayonnaise and lemon dip. Both delicious and highly recommended.

For our main we had Pollo Alla Valdostana which is Parmesan breaded chicken, parma ham, fontina, peperonata and pesto, which was perfectly cooked, moist and full of flavour. We had the Linguine All’Aragosta, half native lobster, tomato, chilli and basil this is a stunning dish and very tasty…

Dessert time 😉 We ordered the Tiramisu, sponge fingers, mascarpone, marsala wine and amaretto and Tortino al cioccolato warm chocolate fondant salted caramel ice cream, both amazing desserts and we finished our meal off perfectly with an espresso… obviously.

There is also a bar in the terrace area which is great to pop over to after your meal if you fancy carrying on the night 😉

Amazing evening with superb food, atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended and will be visiting again very soon.
