Welcome to the English Italian Awards…

What are the English Italian Awards? The English Italian Awards is an event dedicated to recognising and rewarding Italian communities across England with the event being held in September 2015 in Manchester for the very first time.

Italian Communities across the UK are a vital and integral part of our hospitality industry; everyone has their own personal favourite Italian, and here at The Italian Awards we aim to recognise the true favourites across the country.

The awards strive to recognise excellence, and pick out the very best in categories ranging from “Best Pizzeria” to “Best Barista”. Giving initial voting power to the general public allowing to generate finalists that truly are the nation’s favourites, battling it out to become the best of the best.

The English Italian Awards will allow the general public to vote for their favourite Italian businesses across England in 14 categories, ranging from “Italian Chef of the Year” and “Best Pizza” to “Best Multiple Operator”. The top five in each category that receive the most votes will then be visited by an independent judging panel who will declare the winners at the gala final set for The Palace Hotel Ballroom, Manchester this September.

Awards founder and CEO Warren Paul who has now been successfully running the Scottish Italian Awards for two years says he’s “delighted to be bringing the concept to England”.

He added, “We started out in Scotland not knowing what was going to happen, the response has been huge, and were excited to see if the English Italian Community is just as competitive”.

Voting will be conducted through the English Italian Awards website, and it is free for all venues to compete.

Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli was there to be on hand to help judge the category of “Italian Chef of the Year” While we were very proud to present the award for Best Team which went to Amalia of Liverpool. A very well done to them and all the winners on the night. It was a truly great night which celebrated Italian food and drink and great community spirit.
